Meet Your Coaches

Bobby Kwasny

Ever since his teens, Bobby has been hanging out in gyms. First as a member, then as a personal trainer, a strength and conditioning coach and then as a gym owner. In the winter of 2021, he reached a point in his coaching career where he no longer had answers to the questions being asked. With societal stress increasing to never-before-seen levels, people had lost touch with their exercise programs, and Bobby had no idea why or what to tell family, friends, members and clients. It was then that he and his wife Andrea decided Bobby would go back to school and develop a better way to approach health. It was easy to say at the time, but before he knew it, the next nineteen months had flown by, and he graduated from Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with a Master of Science in Health Psychology.

Sled Dog Psychology is the blending of his lifetime of coaching experience with traditional and current psychological theory to
achieve higher levels of physical, mental and spiritual wellness. Having been a strength and conditioning coach for over half his life, Bobby learned the foundations of sleep hygiene, water intake, and nutritional science and has obsessed over strength and conditioning protocols and techniques. Adding mental wellness and mindset management to his skill set has allowed him to see the primary cause of chronic health conditions, increased inflammation, accelerating autoimmune disorders and decreased mental health is stress.

Our ability to cope with stress effectively has everything to do with how our body reacts to life's inevitable stressful events. When we learn to cope with stress efficiently, our bodies will provide a more stable platform to live within. This stable and balanced environment reduces obesity potential and is less likely to store visceral fat, lowering the chances of developing heart disease, cancer and other chronic conditions, and is more likely to control autoimmune flare-ups and increase performance in all mental wellness metrics. When managing stress effectively, you will tend to accumulate less stress as your stress tolerance increases. The inability to tolerate stress leads to a redirection of the stress to somewhere else in your physical body or your day-to-day behaviours. If this stress is not attended to, it will affect our ability to fight off or manage chronic disease, inflame autoimmune disorders, decrease mental wellness and increase systemic inflammation.
